Two J&K Bank employees suspended

Jammu and Kashmir Bank, branch Uri, has suspended two of its employees over alleged negligence into misappropriation of around Rs 14 lakh from an ATM. As per details, bank officials were alerted on receiving frequent complaints from customers for not being able to make transactions through ATM. Earlier believing it as a technical snag, the bank officials on checking the machine found that the cash amounting to Rs 14 lakh approximately was physically missing from ATM unit.

The bank branch officials have primarily suspended two of its staffers over alleged negligence towards their duties and also informed police about the incident. Several persons have been detained by police for questioning. As per a police officer, who confirmed the developments, said that investigations into the matter are going on. “Further details will be shared once the investigations are over,” he added.
